If laughter is the best way to learn, then Chatswood High School students just earned a PhD in fun during their visit to our Mirri Mirri office!
From the moment they arrived, the students jumped straight into the action, learning about Aboriginal culture, exploring career opportunities, and engaging in some very enthusiastic group activities. At one point, hands shot up so fast, we were worried someone might touch the ceiling!
The energy levels didn’t subside there. Students got a glimpse into future employment pathways, discovering how their skills and passions could lead to exciting careers. And, of course, no visit would be complete without some behind the scenes media action. Lights, camera, action these students were ready.
Mirri Mirri facilitator, Janine, summed up the day perfectly saying, “my highlight was seeing how happy the students’ faces were and how contagious the laughter was. Definitely a visit I’ll remember forever.”
From all of us at Mirri Mirri, a huge thanks to Jo and the students from the support unit at Chatswood High School. You definitely created an unforgettable experience.
